Case Competition Coordinator
This position involved creating a theme and outline for our annual Energy Nexus Case Competition, contacting companies and securing industry professionals to judge submissions, and handling the logistics of the case competition. This is a great role for someone with availability in the second semester, who is looking to gain event planning experience!
VP Events
VP Events is a good role for someone with good organization skills! The planning and organization of events such as Energy Week is the responsibility of the person in this role. A lot of time and effort is needed, especially during the second semester, but the work is rewarding!
VP Graphic Design
VP Graphic Design is great for anyone who enjoys art and design and would love to practice their skills. It involves creating the images that get posted on MEA’s social media, including Instagram and LinkedIn. There are also less frequent projects such as posters and banners.
VP Communications
VP Communications is an ideal position for those who use social media regularly and for those who are familiar with different social media platforms! It is also great for those who have strong communication skills and are willing to stay active with the team. It is a creative and fun role!
VP Marketing
VP Marketing is an excellent role for anyone looking to create content on social media and wants to sell the MEA brand to the student body. If you are creative, love getting people involved, and want to spread knowledge about the energy sector then this is the role for you! You will have a marketing team that focuses on creating content for various social media platforms to get the MEA name out there.
VP Finance and Sponsorship
As VP of Finance and Sponsorship, it will be your job in dealing with the money of the club. This will include keeping track of where it is spent and where it is coming from. Some of the more specifics are creating a budget, sponsorship package, and emailing sponsors. It is a role that introduces you to sending formal emails, as well as budget managing.
Conference Coordinator
Being the Conference Coordinator, you will work closely with speakers and guests that will be attending the conference. Come up with ideas to be included in the conference such as panels, tours, and topics for presentations. This position is great for your communication skills, networking, and is highly rewarding as you watch the conference come together.
VP Education
As VP Education, your role will largely involve recruiting and leading a team of writers, known as the MEA Writing Team, to release monthly articles on topics surrounding energy management and global news surrounding sustainability. You will create and send out newsletters to the subscribers of MEA notifying them of any events planned and featuring the articles written by the team. This position is perfect for someone who has strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
