This year’s case competition topic is the impact of cryptocurrencies on the energy sector and their potential to drive change within the industry. With the continued hype and popularity surrounding cryptocurrencies, the conversation regarding the energy usage associated with bitcoin mining must continue.

Fossil Fuel Divestment Action Workshop
Collaborated with the Mac Divest group to present information about how current investments in the fossil fuel industry can be re-invested in sustainable technology. McMaster University currently invests over $22 million in the fossil fuel industry. Learn how these funds could be reinvested into sustainable technology, and how you can take action to let McMaster know what kind of future you think we should be investing in.
